I don't know why, but these have become my favorite chocolate chip cookies! Sometimes I add a touch of almond extract, too.
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup real butter, softened
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
3 cups all-purpose flour
12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Place sugars, butter, eggs, and vanilla in mixer bowl. Mix well. Gradually add baking soda, salt, and flour to sugar mixture and mix about 2 minutes. Add chocolate chips and mix well.
Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
Dough freezes well.
